(TORONTO, ON) The National Basketball League of Canada is thrilled to announce the launch of “NBL Canada Live!” which will serve as the official NBL Canada Blog. The blog can be found at http://nblcanada.tumblr.com.
NBL Canada Live! will consist of exciting editorial content including daily photographs, videos, podcasts, and stories. The blog has two notable contributors – Audley Stephenson and Romy Aquino, who both have extensive backgrounds in the sport of basketball in Canada.
"As a self proclaimed hoops junkie, I'm thrilled to be able to contribute in my own way to the official blog for the NBL. I want NBL Canada Live! to be the go to information source for the latest on the league," said Mr. Stephenson.
Stephenson (AKA The Audman) is one of the founders of the popular NBA podcast, The Breakdown with Dave & Audley. The fun, informative and high energy talk show has featured interviews with top quality athletes and celebrities such as 2011 Slam Dunk Champion, Blake Griffin, 2006 NBA Champion, Gary Payton and comedian, George Lopez. Audley is also the co-author of “Basketball Talk, The Way It Should Be!”
“There’s no doubt that Canadians love their hoops. As a contributor to the NBL Canada’s official blog, NBL Canada Live! I am excited to bring fresh and unique content from a fan's perspective to NBL Canada fans,” said Mr. Aquino. “The National Basketball League of Canada brings Canadians an exciting brand of pro basketball and I’m a firm believer that with fan support, the league will exist for a long time."
Aquino runs a very popular pro hoops blog, Hip Hoop Junkies (covering the Toronto Raptors/NBA) and he can be found live-blogging at Halifax Rainmen home games for Sportstream.ca.
