NBL Canada Headlines

(TORONTO, ON) The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that our new Windsor professional men’s basketball team will hold a press conference tomorrow, Wednesday, August 1st, at 11:15am at the Spirit of Windsor in Dieppe Park of Windsor, Ontario.

The Windsor ownership group will officially introduce themselves and greet the public. The City of Windsor, Ontario’s Mayor, Eddie Francis along with other key stakeholders will be in attendance for this occasion.

The City of Windsor’s expansion bid was approved on June 28^th, 2012.

With the addition of Windsor, the basketball franchise will bring unique benefits to the city while performing on Canada’s national stage with the pride of participating in the National Basketball League of Canada.

The new organization has become the eighth team in the National Basketball League of Canada and will be added to the newly formed Central Division alongside the London Lightning, Oshawa Power, and Quebec Kebs.
