NBL Canada HeadlinesHalifax Rainmen Trade Taliek Brown to Laval Kebs
(TORONTO, ON) The Halifax Rainmen announce that they have traded the rights to 6'1" Taliek Brown to the Laval Kebs in exchange for the Kebs first round draft pick in the 2013 NBL Canada Draft. "We wish Taliek nothing but the best, he was a great player for us over the past two seasons" stated Halifax Rainmen President Andre Levingston. 'We have some really great players coming into camp this season and simply decided it was time to go in another directions". The Laval Kebs are very pleased on what they received in today’s trade. “The Laval Kebs are very happy to have made this deal with the Rainmen today,” says Kebs VP & General Manager Vincent Bernier. “We have always been a great fan of Taliek and we are very excited to have him join our team in Laval.” Brown, an NCAA Champion while at UConn in 2004, averaged 12.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game last season with the Halifax Rainmen.
