NBL Canada Awards![]() NBL Canada Awards 2012-2013 NBL Canada Award WinnersOn April 14th in Saint John during the All-Star Breakfast, the 2012-2013 NBL Canada awards were distributed. Ian Fowler Executive of the Year Award Moncton’s Ian Fowler was a dedicated community leader, instrumental in bringing the Miracles to Moncton and a huge supporter and partner of NBL Canada. Ian helped to transform Magnetic Hill into a major concert hub, drawing in international stars like the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi and U2. In his role as Moncton's General Manager of Economic Development, Tourism and Culture, he also attracted sporting events, including the World Junior Track and Field Championships in 2010. Sadly in November 2011 Ian passed away, but his vision, support and passion will always be remembered. Through this award NBL Canada will recognize the Executive that has helped their franchise succedd on and off the court and has made a lasting impression in their community. The recipient is selected by the Commissioner.
